How You Can Cultivate Creativity by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
Try to be inspired
By something new everyday
Try to inspire at least one
Person everyday
Write down each day what surprised others.
When something strikes a spark of interest,
follow it.
Wake up in the morning with a specific
goal to look forward to.
If you do anything well, it
becomes enjoyable. To keep enjoying something,
you need to increase its complexity.
Take charge of your schedule.
Make time for reflection and
relaxation. Share your space. Find out
what you like and what you hate about
life.
Start doing more of what you love, less
of what you hate.
Develop what you lack.
Shift often from openness to
closure. Find a way to express what moves
you. Look at problems from as many
viewpoints as possible.
Figure out the implications of the
problem. Implement the solution.
Produce as many ideas as possible.
Try to produce unlikely ideas.

Peace
Peace.
It does not mean to be in a place
where there is no noise, trouble
or hard work. It means to be in
the midst of those things and still
be calm in your heart.
(unknown) from a teacher.

Remember 7 things
1. Life is not equal, DON'T compare with others. Be yourself. You're special. GOD loves you.
2. There will be favouritism....but just take care of your work...and GOD takes care of the rest.
3. Forgive others. You need all of them. Work with them. Treat them like your friends.
4. Take the insults quietly. Don't tell others. Don't complain in office. Your boss will finally know it.
Proverbs is helpful.
5. Keep your BOSS informed. Communicate with staff....send out circulars. Praise them too. Thank them. Be grateful.
If you love them, they will love you more.
6. Call small group meetings. You get lots of ideas. Dont be shy to ask difficult tasks.
But dont ask for everything...people get fed up.
7. When in doubt, DON't..... If you are not sure, DON't do it. Ask your Boss first.
Mistakes occur when we go solo on big things...which need Boss' approval.
I am not the Boss. So i got to get approval.

Seniors having fun during Freshies Night |
As a member of the rural service
Glad that I was included in the list
We attended some training sessions
To be equipped with the best preparations
Glad to be able to participate
In a memorable event as I would rate.
After the opening, the journey began at noon,
As we travelled to a new place soon.
Rows of oil palms greeted the newcomers
As our bus strolled pass many farms and villagers
The night began the adoption ceremony
Where foster families awaited patiently.
I supposed all the families were great
As we were given the best foods' treat
It didn't matter which family we're destined to
It didn't matter whether they're poor or well-to-do.
The days began with early morning calls
The nights closed down with wholly moonlit falls
Committee and members were equally committed
Working together while feeling motivated
Performing duties throughout the seven days
Activities were done in many different ways
Glad, for we'd contributed to the society
Proud, for we're from and represented INTI.
During the trip, I'd really learned a lot
A cause that I would cherish in my thought
With the unity that I saw in our people,
We'd cherish our friendships whenever possible.

It's Your Life
This is your world
It is right there, only for you
You can grab anything you want,
but you only need to step out a little bit
And anything you want to start
would never be too late.
Go out and see the deep blue sky
It is huge, but it is small as well,
if you think so.
Do whatever you want, it is simple
but people just take it so hard and serious.
It doesn't have to be serious or difficult.
It is all about you.
You want it, then take it.
Anything else such as effort or money,
Think about it as the "tax"
that you are paying for your stuff.
We know what we want.
We want to be happy.
Everything can make us happy.
Right now, I'm happy to talk to you,
And I'm happily looking forward
to seeing your message again.
It's just so simple!
Taste your life,
It can be as sweet as a dessert,
or as bitter like a cup of Expresso!
It's up to what kind of taste you like.
And every time
Life gives you
a different taste.
Bamboo's friend.

Bridge Builder
An old man was going along this way
Came in the evening, cold and grey,
To a chasm vast and deep and wide
The old man crossed in the twilight dim,
The sullen stream had no fears for him
But he turned when safe on the other side
"Old man," said a fellow pilgrim near,
"You're wasting your time by building here.
You never again will pass this way.
Your journey will end with the closing day.
You have crossed the chasm deep and wide.
Why build on this bridge at eventide?"
The builder lifted his old grey head.
"Good friend, in this way I've come," he said
There followeth after me today
A youth whose feet must pass this way
This stream that been naught to me
To that fair-headed youth might a pitfall be,
He too must cross in the twilight dim,
Good friend, I'm building this bridge for him."

The Lotus-Flower
All the heights of the high shores gleam
Red and gold at the sunset hour:
There comes the spell of a magic dream,
And the Harbour seems a lotus-flower;
A blue flower tinted at dawn with gold,
A broad flower blazing with light at noon,
A flower forever with charms to hold
His heart, who sees it by sun or moon.
Its beauty burns like a ceaseless fire,
And tower looks over the top of tower;
For all mute things it would seem, aspire
To catch a glimpse of the lotus-flower.
Men meet its beauty with furrowed face,
And straight the furrows are smoothed away;
They buy and sell in the market-place,
And languor leadens their blood all day.
At night they look on the flower, and lo!
The City passes with all its cares:
They dream no more in its azure glow,
Of gold and silver and stocks and shares.
The Lotus dreams 'neath the dreaming skies,
Its beauty touching with spell divine
The grey old town, till the old town lies
Like one half-drunk with a magic wine.
Star-loved, it breathes at the midnight hour
A sense of peace from its velvet mouth.
Though flowers be fair -- is there any flower
Like this blue flower of the radiant South?
Sun-loved and lit by the moon it yields
A challenge-glory or glow serene,
And men bethink them of jewelled shields,
A turquoise lighting a ground of green.
Fond lovers pacing beside it see
Not death and darkness, but life and light,
And dream no dream of the witchery
The Lotus sheds on the silent night.
Pale watchers weary of watching stars
That fall, and fall, and forever fall,
Tear-worn and troubled with many scars,
They seek the Lotus and end life's thrall.
The spirit spelled by the Lotus swoons,
Its beauty summons the artist mood;
And thus, perchance, in a thousand moons
Its spell shall work in our waiting blood.
Then souls shall shine with an old-time grace,
And sense be wrapped in a golden trance,
And art be crowned in the market-place
With Love and Beauty and fair Romance.

Cherry Blossom
In the cherry blossom's shade
there's no such thing
as a stranger.
The Cherry Blossom's Out
The cherry blossom’s out to brighten city streets
And daffodils all shout that spring is here to greet
The trees, about to burst in bud and leaf and bloom,
That bring us all relief from winter’s hateful gloom.
The cherry blossom’s out and scattered in a drift
All down the busy road, a welcome petalled gift
Resembling winter snow, all soft and white and light
But not so cruel and cold, this cheerful, happy sight.
The cherry blossom’s out, so simple clean and pure
Before it starts to fall upon the road’s rough floor,
But, even in the crush of traffic’s trundling wheels,
Its bloom brings us a blush of beauty, which appeals.
The cherry blossom’s out and floats upon the breeze
Which toys with every branch upon the cherry trees
In cheerful playfulness on this soft, spring-like day,
An early splash of white before the buds of May.
